PAULINA PIOR (born 1995) - visual artist using mainly photography and painting. She is interested in inter- image and intertextual relationships.
Her strategy is based on associative games and reinterpretation of motifs established in our visual culture. She places characteristic themes, recognizable by the mass audience, in a new context, thus tearing them out of the well-established associative structures. The artist forces viewers to confront what seemed to be already established in contemporary visual culture. However, her greatest inspiration is the world of emotions: the observation of human behavior in a sociological and psychological context.
